Changes to our cycle monitoring process

You asked, we listened.

We are transitioning cycle monitoring to a new format to better serve you.

Here’s what you can expect from our new approach…

In-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles

Moving forward, you will still see your physician at the beginning of your cycle. You will then meet with a nurse who will set you up with your medications, instructions, fees and consents.

Here’s what’s new: For subsequent visits you may leave after your blood work or ultrasound if you’d like! Your physician will review your chart and a nurse will call you with medication dosing and instructions. You will no longer be required to wait at the clinic to be seen by your physician or nurse during these appointments.

Depending on your case, your doctor may still wish to schedule an appointment with you before your trigger shot (either for an ultrasound to ensure that the trigger is timed well for optimal results or to discuss your egg retrieval plan in person), or at any other time during your cycle as needed.

Throughout your cycle, you will always have the option to speak with your physician or a nurse in person, or to communicate with someone on your care team over the phone or by email when necessary.

Frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles

Our approach to FET cycle monitoring will depend on the type of protocol being used (medicated with estrogen vs. not). This will be planned at the beginning of your cycle with your physician.

After your first visit with your physician, you will meet with a nurse who will set you up with your medications, instructions, fees and consents.

Here’s what’s new: Depending on the reason for your subsequent visits, you may have the option to leave after your blood work or ultrasound if you’d like! You will still always have the option to speak with your physician or a nurse in person, or to communicate with someone on your care team over the phone or by email when necessary.

Pregnancy ultrasounds and visits for other specific issues

For pregnancy ultrasounds, your physician will indicate if they need to see you for these visits.

For other visits due to specific issues, concerns or questions, it is likely that your doctor will need to see you.

Our continued commitment to improving patient care

Rest assured our team of medical professionals will continue to follow your case very closely throughout your cycle. And you will always have the option to speak with your physician or a nurse in person, or to communicate with someone on your care team over the phone or by email when necessary.

We are always striving to improve our approach to patient care and ensure you have the very best experience possible.
