For
some couples, assisted conception treatments on their own are not
enough. Sometimes a man produces no sperm at all, in which case
a couple may find that donor insemination (DI) offers them their
only chance of having a child. This technique can also be used to
help single women or same sex female couples to have children.
Donor
Insemination is the procedure whereby semen from a donor is inserted
into a woman's cervix/uterus with the intention of helping her becoming
pregnant. Most DI is performed using anonymous sperm from a sperm
bank. We work in conjunction with a number of sperm banks. The details
of choosing a donor etc. can be discussed with your doctor.
