The
Infertility Support and Education Program offers education and support
to women and men with reproductive concerns. The philosophy of the
program is to view people with infertility issues as normal women
and men experiencing an abnormal, unanticipated life crisis. The
goal of the program is to help move people from where they are,
to where they need to be, by offering individual counseling, couple
counseling and support groups. Key areas that are explored include:
grief and loss, emotional effects, impact on family and friends,
legal aspects and religious issues.
At
The CReATe Program we require a minimum of one visit with a counselor
for all ovum donors and recipients, gestational carriers, intended
parents of gestational carriers, and those using donor sperm.
The
Infertility Support and Education Program is based at 790 Bay Street,
8th Floor.
