Donation and surrogacy services

Egg Donation

During the process of egg donation the eggs from the ovaries of a woman with normally functioning ovaries are retrieved. These donated eggs are then fertilized in a laboratory setting (in vitro fertilization) with sperm from the egg recipient’s partner. The resulting embryos are then transferred to the uterus of the woman desiring a baby. If pregnancy is established, the egg recipient becomes the gestational mother and experiences the joy of pregnancy and childbirth.

The primary benefit to women who donate eggs is the altruistic aspect of helping another woman or couple achieve pregnancy.

Sperm Donation

For some couples, assisted conception treatments on their own are not enough. Sometimes a man produces no sperm at all, in which case a couple may find that donor insemination (DI) offers them their only chance of having a child. This technique can also be used to help single women or same sex female couples to have children.

Donor Insemination is the procedure whereby semen from a donor is inserted into a woman’s cervix/uterus with the intention of helping her becoming pregnant. Most DI is performed using anonymous sperm from a sperm bank. We work in conjunction with a number of sperm banks. The details of choosing a donor etc. can be discussed with your doctor.

Embryo Donation

The donor embryo program at CReATe Program is open to any couple or person who has decided with the help of one of our IVF doctors, that they wish to pursue pregnancy by using donated embryos. The embryos in our donor program have been generously donated by clients of CReATe who have previously undergone IVF procedures and have completed their family building or have decided to donated their unused embryos for personal reasons.

Surrogacy/Gestational Carriers

The recipient couple will be given the complete profile and medical history of the donated gametes.

A gestational carrier is a woman who carries a child that is not biologically related to herself. She acts as the ‘host womb’, carrying a child biologically related to at least one of the intended parents, conceived through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) with the intended parents egg and sperm or a donor. In some cases conception is achieved with a donor embryos or donor egg and sperm. Click here to read more.
